Modeling in ELEGANT

  1. Magnet shunt powering calculations
    Integrate with EDT and control system?
  2. From GUN to HALL with specific LINAC gains
  3. Multipoles in TOSCA versus ELEGANT
  4. Simulating an emittance measurement
  5. Calculating the Courant-Snyder invariant
  6. Effect of synchrotron radiation on dipole powering
    Can be used to support commissioning of synchrotron coils
  7. Delivering three halls at one pass via BSYA
    Anticipated in the future (2016 and beyond)
  8. Fitting for beam momentum and incoming orbits
    Currently used for CMB experiment.
  9. Determination of quadrupole terms in dipoles (body gradient)
    Compare that with performance metrics for tuning
  10. LOCO analysis for a transport line
  11. Steering a beamline with ELEGANT
  12. Foil heating by a beam
  13. Raytrace simulations
