Intense 3-8 MeV Positron Source
Andre Rosowsky
CEA-Saclay, France
An intense source of positrons based on pair production with a beam
of electrons from a 10 MeV accelerator hitting a thin target at a low incidence angle is presented. This source was designed for the
production of slow positron below 1 MeV : the presentation focuses on the possibility to use the same technique to produce positrons with
an energy above 3 MeV.
