“Theory And Applications Of Intrabeam Scattering”
Sekazi K. Mtingwa
North Carolina A&T State University

Intrabeam scattering places an ultimate limitation on the achievable intensities of a wide range of state-of-the-art particle accelerators, from low emittance electron damping rings and synchrotron light sources to a variety of hadron colliders. We review the basic theory, discuss high energy approximations, and describe several applications.
