Two synchrotron light sources, the 2.5-GeV Photon Factory (PF) storage ring and the 6.5-GeV PF-AR, are in operation at KEK. There were major upgrades for the PF storage ring (in 1997) and for the PF-AR (in 2001). People in KEK is now considering an ERL (Energy Recovery Linac)-based light sources as very promising future project. I will first present the current status of the PF and the PF-AR storage rings, and then, will make a presentation on a tentative ERL plan at KEK.
