The Two Beam Accelerator concept provides microwave power for the NLC from a separate high-power electron beam located parallel to the high energy accelerator. This high current (~600 A), low energy (~10 MeV) beam must be periodically reaccelerated to offset the energy extraction while retaining beam quality. Design criteria include both high operating efficiency and low cost. The development, fabrication, and testing of this module at FM Technologies is described.
