10:30 AM ARC Bldg. Room 231/233 MAX 1 to 4 - Present and Far Future Light SourcesMikael ErikssonMAX-lab, Lund University, Sweden
As a background for the long term development, the present situation
at MAXlab is described. On the longer time perspective, a
new facility must be planned now. This facility consists of a 3 GeV
low emittance storage offering a very high brightness. The 3 GeV
microtron injector offers high peak (and mean) brightness radiation
in a system resembling the Novosibirsk MARS proposal. A more
speculative cascaded optical klystron system included in the microtron
is also discussed.
